Abstract

Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) has revolutionized fire safety engineering by enabling detailed analysis and prediction of fire behavior in complex environments. This paper explores the application of CFD tools for modeling fire dynamics, smoke propagation, and evacuation scenarios in various building types. Key benefits include cost-effective simulations, real-time analysis, and improved fire safety system designs. Real-case simulations and validation studies are discussed to underline the accuracy of CFD predictions against experimental data. Despite its advantages, limitations such as computational load and modeling assumptions remain challenges that demand continued research.
