Abstract

The integration of Reinforcement Learning (RL) into software engineering processes offers a promising avenue for dynamic problem-solving in complex, real-world software development challenges. This paper explores the application of RL in software engineering, specifically in improving decision-making, optimizing workflows, and enhancing automated problem-solving strategies. By leveraging RL algorithms, software engineers can create adaptive systems capable of continuously learning and evolving to meet user requirements and operational constraints. Through real-world case studies, we analyze how RL contributes to bug detection, software testing, system optimization, and continuous delivery. This research emphasizes the potential of RL to reshape traditional software engineering practices, enabling smarter and more efficient workflows.
