Abstract

The global shift towards sustainable energy sources has intensified interest in Hybrid Renewable Energy Systems (HRES), combining multiple renewable resources to provide reliable and efficient power supply. This paper explores the development of HRES, focusing on their design, integration challenges, and optimization methods, particularly within the context of Pakistan’s energy landscape. The study discusses key renewable technologies such as solar photovoltaic (PV), wind, biomass, and energy storage, analyzing their synergistic potential. Graphical analyses depict the growth trends of hybrid system installations and performance comparisons. The findings highlight that HRES can significantly enhance energy security and reduce carbon footprints, making them vital for Pakistan’s sustainable development goals.
